Welcome to T.F. Quilty Military Supplies!
Outfit Nishida facebook linkedin twitter youtube T.F. Quilty Company is a family business which was started by Thomas and Alexander Nishida, a father and son team who are passionate about military surplus and military history. Our army surplus & consulting division of the company was created in 1994 in order to assist the City of Chicago with its 50th Anniversary reenactment of the Normandy landings
We were the go–to company for designing and building bunkers along with extensive beach defenses. Our largest project for this event was completely converting the Montrose Beach House into a formidable piece of "Hitler′s Atlantic Wall", including coastal artillery pieces. The event went off without a hitch and in turn T.F. Quilty WWII Quartermaster Depot came into existence.
From then on, we continued to provide costume and consulting services to many theatre productions and small-time films in the Chicagoland area. In 2000, we entered the army surplus business via eBay and were one of the first militaria sellers on the auction website. We continue to sell on eBay with the TFQuilty username. Completely online, with a website and eBay, T.F. Quilty Company sells WWII & Vietnam uniforms and gear for re-enactors, collectors, museums and films. We also participate in a circuit of military shows, gun shows, antique shows and reenactments throughout the Chicagoland area. Since 2006, we have had a yearly presence at the War and Peace Show in Beltring, England.
Our yearly participation in the War and Peace Show has provided us with a unique understanding of the European market and reenacting communities. We have also taken on personal research jobs while in Europe, which consist of visiting family member battle sites and conducting veteran interviews. The consulting & costume division of the company has grown significantly; we provide services to video game companies in Montreal, Canada to extravagant theatre productions at Lookingglass Theatre in Chicago.
T.F. Quilty continues to stay true to its family business mentality–the torch has been passed to its new owner Alexander Nishida. As owner and president Alexander believes that the future looks bright for WWII QM, with a new manufacturing division on the way, a fashion label in the works, a new store opening, and consistent growth in our international business. Alex is truly ready to take it all on. To learn more about the owner click here
